A rank-holder in the All-India Superspeciality Medical Entrance Exam (1999), Dr. Sancheti completed his M.S. in General Surgery and M.Ch. in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons (FIACS). He further enhanced his expertise as a Cardiac Surgery Fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, bringing global best practices to Indian cardiac care. 

Clinical & Surgical Excellence 

• Performed 5000+ successful cardiac surgeries, including 1000+ free surgeries under government schemes for rural patients. 

• Pioneered the first cardiac surgery program in rural Maharashtra at Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital, Wardha, which became an MCI-recognized teaching unit in 2012. 

• Credited with multiple “firsts” in cardiac surgery in Maharashtra and Central India: 

• First AWAKE open-heart surgeries (double valve replacement, congenital ASD closure, CABG) 

• First minimally invasive cardiac and rare pediatric surgeries (Cor Triatriatum, Arterial Switch) 

• Second in the world & first in India to perform Anaortic Total Arterial Off-Pump CABG in a Dextrocardia patient 

Academic Leadership & Contributions 

• Chaired sessions at national-level CMEs organized by IACTS. 

• Authored cardiac health books in Hindi, Marathi, and English, distributing 10,000+ copies free to rural patients. 

• Reviewer for the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery and instrumental in MCh education reforms at DMIMS (DU).
